Breathwork is a practice that consists of lying down and engaging in an active breathing technique for approximately 60 minutes. By breathing consciously for this extended period, we open up our breathing mechanism, which brings us back into our bodies and sends prana—life force energy—surging throughout our 72,000 nadis (the psychic passageways that run through our entire body). You’ll feel truly alive, awakened at a cellular level.
This process awakens the frozen aspects of ourselves and brings repressed or suppressed emotions to the surface, allowing healing to occur on all levels. The old stories and stuck emotions that keep you cycling through self-sabotage, anxiety, or depression begin to release and clear.

When we experience trauma, overwhelm or something we are not able to process appropriately throughout our lives we hold our breaths. That energy freezes in that time and space and gets sectioned off in our bodies, until we are ready and able to deal with it.
When engaged with intention, the breath can be used to access the subconscious, giving you the key to unblock the repressed emotions or wounds that were never really felt or processed. The breath assists in bringing these repressed aspects the self to the surface to be released and healed.
